Champlain Corridor: CONFIRMATION FIRST WEEKEND BLITZ on May 17, 18 and 19, 2014

CONFIRMATION OF THE FIRST WEEKEND BLITZ FROM FRIDAY, MAY 16, AT 9:00 P.M. TO TUESDAY, MAY 20, AT 5:00 A.M.

Addition MONDAY, MAY 19 –  SOUTH DIRECTION ON VICTORIA BRIDGE 2 LANES OPENED. From 10 p.m. to midnight, to facilitate the traffic circulation towards the South Shore after the Canadians hockey match,the Victoria Bridge will be opend with 2 lanes towards the South Shore. No lane towards Montréal. 

A-15

  • North and South Direction > 1 lane each direction >  lane width will be reduced to 3 metres
  • A-15 South > Exit 53 to route 132 closed
  • A-15 North> Exit 61 to Atwater closed

Champlain Bridge

  • South Shore Direction > 1 lane opened
  • Montréal Direction > 2 lanes opened

Pont Clément > Complete closure

Access towards Champlain Bridge will be possible from A-Bonaventure Exit 4.

Île-des-Soeurs

  • A-15 South > Exit 57-N closed
  • A-Bonaventure > Exit 5 from Clément Bridge closed
  • Chemin de la Pointe-Nord > closed in both directions

SATURDAY, MAY 17 –  SOUTH DIRECTION ON VICTORIA BRIDGE 2 LANES OPENED. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., to facilitate the traffic circulation towards the South Shore after the Canadians hockey match,the Victoria Bridge will be opend with 2 lanes towards the South Shore. No lane towards Montréal.

Consult our video on the removal of the temporary super beam and it’s replacement with a permanent steel modular truss.

We invite you to refer to our presentation to see all the access and exit ramps that will be closed while this work takes place, as well as the detours that will be set up. As well, the speed limit on the network will be reduced to 50 km/h.

    Thank you for considering the Victoria day long weekend. Good foresight as usual. Guess tax payers have the extra time to be stuck in their cars in traffic. Held hostage in MTL for another weekend.
